What goes into the trusted zone?

Unfortunately there is no hard and fast rule
There are a few things that belong in the trusted zone depending on what version of ZoneAlarm you are using.
For all versions you will probably need to enter your DHCP server into the trusted zone.
If you are running the free version then you will need to add your DNS servers, and mailservers into the trusted zone.
And any other secure site that doesn't work correctly. If you are using the Plus or Pro version of ZoneAlarm,
then you might want to put them in the trusted zone, until you get some expert rules written to cover them.
Also for all version, if you are on a LAN and trust all the computers on the LAN, then by all means put them in the trusted zone.
But you can also leave them in the internet zone, then you won't be able to share resources.
Also there are other things that do need to go into the trusted zone in all versions, like VPN IP address's and computers you are
doing a remote desktop with and other things that not everyone does.
